Here's what I have so far..Chime in if you want to change make adjustments Its possible, given the players involved to make this a "war in the north style" campaign ala white dwarf if we wanted to go with a mainly Evil themed armies...so
John- DoC Rich - WoC Chris - WoC Aaron- WoC Bill- VC Billy- Skaven Nate- Lizards- (coastal invaders) Anthony O&G (southern invaders)
or Just do it generically like we have been
John- Empire Rich- WoC Chris- TK or WE Aaron WoC Bill- VC or WE Billy- Dwarfs or Skaven Nate- Lizards Anthony - O&G, or Lizards
Thoughts?

John, I didn't read that article but is sounds like a fun idea especially considering how many woc armys our group has however, I would prefer to use my welves.
The white dwarf kicks some ass. I'd be ok with him.

Grombidal is way too OTT for anything less then us all using appropriate specials as counters. I was more thinking, no specials this time around. unless people really want to make an argument for hero level specials...
Chris- if you want to run WE and Billy wants to Run Dwarfs..considering Nate only has Lizards.we can go the standard..game, War in the North was just a thought as we seem to have so many WoC potential players and Anthony and I have Daemons..
Billy -I would like to a one off legendary battle, 6K..good vs evil with a mega bat rep for blog with a gazillion pictures, We need full paint...but Empire/Dwarfs with Franz/ Grombidal would be very cool we'd need two evil guys to take us on .....maybe in dead cold of january it might a cool way to spend a saturday

Might be able to take on half of the evil team - just need to both clear the schedule and paint up a few things for 3K.

In my mind, restricting special characters gets increasingly silly as they become more and more a part of the army lists, especially compared to the power level of some of the regular items in the newer books.
I'm totally fine with restricting Grombrindal, I was just throwing it out there, as I'd just come across the rules again. (Although he's got nothing on Vampire lords...)
I'd be up for a giant uber-game, I'll just have to do some painting before then as well.

We can do it, we'd just have to the do draft again for multiple factions..so there aren't two of the same guy on the battlefield...as usual you only get one lord to start, if people want to go w/ specials. I dont have a big problem with it..and if we do go w/ Specials...I'd dont have a problem with the White Dwarf because at 500 points he's on par with other like minded specials...I just'd like to try to avoid anymore hero hammer than we are already have..., lets see how some others feel about it.
I was actually thinking the other day a cool campaign idea would be 2K with No Lords period..but everybody could have up to 5 heroes instead of 4, I think that be fun and it would be interesting to see how it effected some of the armys.. I would not try to force it on anymore because it clearly falls outside the ruleset, but to me its seems like a fun idea.

No lord in WoC is fine. Don't know if 5 heroes would be useful - can't seem to find the points for a Lord as it is. Could lead to a 5 wizard line up - just about as bad as a lord with 3 standard wizards.

I wouldn't be opposed to specials, though the only one I'd want to run myself would be a lord level.
